| Suzie Pignetti the 2004, 2005, 2006, and 2007 State Champions Charlotte Latin School Varsity Volleyball Coach, and Zoe Bell, the PHS Athletic Director and former Varsity Volleyball Coach will team together to introduce volleyball to beginners. Get ready to learn a great action-packed team sport. Learn how to serve, pass, hit, set, and dig, as well as to obtain a good introduction to the rules of the game. Volleyball is such an exciting sport. Now you can learn all the skills necessary to play the game and have lots of fun doing it. Coach Pignetti is a Level 3 Certified Instructor and has conducted numerous volleyball camps for campers of all ages. Both Coach Pignetti and Coach Bell are Gold Medal Squared Trained coaches, as well. Campers should bring sneakers and kneepads. |

| Bob Bertucci has directed one of the most successful camps in the country for 25 years. This camp allows an aspiring volleyball athlete the opportunity to be exposed to Coach Bertucci’s highly successful training methods. You will learn the proper fundamentals and techniques in this exciting 3-day program. College coaches and players will help you achieve major improvements in your performance. Athletes will be grouped according to ability levels. If you already play at an advanced level, this camp will move you to the top of your game.
Campers will need to bring sneakers, kneepads and a water bottle.

This is a “teaching” camp that will include instruction on passing, ball handling, shooting 3-on-3 and 5-on-5 team play. CLS Varsity Boys’ Basketball Coach Lane Odom will direct the camp with current college coaches and players scheduled to attend. Coach Odom has 14 years of college coaching experience including the University of Alabama, the University of Missouri, East Carolina University, and UNC-Charlotte. |

| The Chris Canty Camp of Champions will be held on the campus of the Charlotte Latin School. Chris, a former Charlotte Latin Hawk, is now #99 on the Dallas Cowboys. He will be co-hosting his camp with the Head Coach of the state champion Charlotte Latin Hawks, Coach Larry McNulty. Current and former NFL players including several of Chris’ teammates from the Dallas Cowboys, Demarcus Ware, Greg Ellis, Marcus Spears, Jason Hatcher, and many more are scheduled to attend. The Chris Canty Camp of Champions is committed to elevating the quality of youth football skills. The camp will be held on June 12-14 Thursday – Saturday, from 8am to 1pm (snacks will be provided). Boys ages 8-14 are eligible for participation. Chris Canty Camp of Champions Football Camps are non-contact, fundamental football camps designed to improve a child’s beginning, intermediate, or advanced skill level. Fundamentals of all positions on offense, defense, and special teams will be taught in addition to life skills, such as teamwork, communication, sportsmanship, and the importance of education. Participants will be grouped based on age and skill level. Campers will need to wear athletic clothes and shoes. |

Campers will need to bring a snack and a water bottle. Please wear shin guards and sneakers for play and bring a mouth guard. If you have a stick, bring it. One will be provided for you if necessary.

This CLS lacrosse camp is for boys who take lacrosse seriously and want to improve their game and progress to the next level. We will continue to teach the fundamental skills of the game while striving to increase the lacrosse “game sense” for each boy. Attacking concepts, offensive formations, riding and clearing, and defending (both individually and as a team) will be taught. This camp will focus on the competitive game of lacrosse; the level of competition and game situational play will increase. The equipment needed includes stick, helmet, arm pads, shoulder pads, gloves, mouthpiece, and a protective cup.

| Charlotte Latin Pole Vault Camp is designed to teach students the proper skills and techniques necessary to learn the sport of pole vaulting with an emphasis on each of the following areas: safety, goal-setting, fitness, and sportsmanship. The camp is open to all students ages 12 and older, as well as to all ability levels including those who have never vaulted before. Pole vaulting is a very technical event and this is a very good way to develop safe pole vaulting skills. Each student attending the camp will gain greater knowledge and understanding of what they need to jump high. Pole vaulting is a unique and complex sport. Having fun in the learning process is a bonus to this sport.
The five day session will teach students proper pole vault technique, drills, training, how to prepare a competitive event, equipment selection, mental aspects and video analysis. Campers will need to bring a vaulting pole, running shoes, track spikes, sun screen and dress appropriately for outdoor activity. |

| Join us on the beautiful Charlotte Latin School campus and tennis courts for a fun-filled week of tennis. This camp is for those new to tennis or for those who want to improve their game. Emphasis is on the basics of tennis, including proper mechanics, movement, and sportsmanship. Time is balanced appropriately between instruction, drill, and supervised play. Coach Bob Currie has coached more than 30 high school seasons and has extensive tennis camp and clinic experience. Most recently, his team won the state title in 2005 and was state runner-up in 2006. He is a certified tennis instructor with the Professional Tennis Registry. In 2005, he as recognized as tennis “coach of the year” by The Charlotte Observer. |
