Build a detective tool kit and use it to collect and analyze evidence from crime scenes. Basic principles of flight and aerodynamics will be investigated by building airplanes, testing them in wind tunnels, and building a hovercraft and balloon copter. Investigate how early “pilots” navigated while building a sextant and sundial. Campers will take home a rubber band-powered airplane, various paper airplane designs, balloon copters, boomerangs, and a mini Frisbee™. End the week by putting together everything we have learned by building an intermediate level Estes™ rocket. A daily snack is suggested. |
