Come discover animals that live right out our back door and around the world. We'll learn all about animals in the wild, pets, and aquatic life. During the week, we will have special guests visit us.

| Budding rocket scientists will explore the fundamentals of rocketry and space travel. Learn about outer space as we look at the stars and solar system. Work on projects to take home, including a simple telescope, a propeller-powered space orbiter, and a fully functional rocket. Build and launch different types of rockets during the week, and on the last day of camp, you will launch into space the solid fuel rocket that you built and watch it return to earth by parachute. |

| This camp is where you get started on a lifetime of knitting fun. Learn all the basics, such as casting on, the knit stitch, and binding off in a kid-friendly, hands-on setting. Registration for this camp includes knitting spool, bamboo knitting needles, yarn, and a Kid’s Knitting book, and of course a knitting basket. Come join us for tons of beginning knitting fun! This popular camp is led by Charlotte Latin Alumna Betsey Hummel Macholz, owner and operator of “Baskets of Yarn.”
Monday – Finger knit chains into bracelets, necklaces, and hair ribbons. We will dye yarn using Kool-Aid!
Tuesday – Spool knit chains for ropes, belts, and other decorations and make decorative needle toppers for our knitting needles.
Wednesday – Learn how to cast-on, knit, and bind-off
Thursday – We will make belts and head bands
Friday – Learn to finish off your knitting and add embellishments such as fringe
This camp has a minimum of 6 and a maximum of 16 campers.

| “It’s elementary Watson” for children to become super sleuths to solve a “crime.” Use techniques from forensic science to fill the shoes of a detective in this fun-filled “who dunnit” program. Build a detective tool kit and use it to collect and analyze evidence from crime scenes. The “un” usual suspects will be narrowed down as the week progresses until we solve the crime and bring the camp to a sweet conclusion. |
