| Middle School can be a crucial tipping point in the way that girls perceive themselves and their relationships with others. Athena’s Path develops leaders by giving girls the tools and perspective they need to stay true to themselves, rather than follow the crowd. Our instructors are specially trained teachers who know Middle School girls and their experiences and challenges. Our high school interns are Athena’s Path graduates who serve as role models and help bridge the gap between instructors and participants. They lead the games, activities, role-playing, in-depth discussions and guest speakers that provide girls with strategies to guide them through Middle School … and beyond. Your Athena’s Path girl will discover that being a leader doesn’t necessarily mean being class president… it means solving problems creatively; doing what she believes is right, and staying true to herself… while she talks confidentially, giggles, journals, and has fun. She will learn to:
• Lead with her unique style
• Evaluate and respond to criticism
• Communicate positively
• Solve problems creatively
• Identify real and healthy role models
• Focus on friendship
Athena’s Path Girls:
• Enjoy a greater sense of community among girls
• Exhibit positive leadership skills among peers
• Are more confident with inter-social mixing and communications
• Have a stronger sense of self and improved focus on goals
