Latin Arts Association is the umbrella organization that financially supports the arts through Friends of Music, Friends of Theater Arts and Visual Arts. These groups coordinate events and outside activities that enhance the current curriculum. Thousands of volunteer hours each year allow the Arts Departments to enrich the students’ arts experience from Transitional Kindergarten through Upper School. Students take part in Grandparents’ Day, the All-School Art Show at the Mint Museum, dance workshops, musicals and other dramatic productions, concerts, visiting musician workshops, and much more.
We are excited for the opening of our new Performing Arts Center and the numerous events it will host in the upcoming year. Admission remains FREE to all music, visual arts and theater events as a result of the generous commitment LAA continues to receive from our members.
In 2011-2012, LAA will support:
- Dance, playwriting and musical theater workshop
- All-school Mint Museum show
- Lower School Broadway Program
- Senior Art Show at Spirit Square
- Master classes in auditioning and performance
- Purchase of licenses for Lower School Broadway Program
- FREE admission to ALL music, visual arts and theater events
